I have read a few news reports about this, which have a common theme of rare British applicants not being able to stick it more than a couple of days. Freddie and Phoebe will be on minimum wage with the possible opportunity of making a bonus dependent on productivity, so let’s assume that’s minimum wage! The story seems to have been dropped, hopefully not for good, as it is an opportunity to highlight the hard work and importance of seasonal agricultural workers from outside of the UK which is one of the many big Brexit issues, one which pro Brexit Adam seems to think there will be a magic wand for, we will see what happens with that and the market for British fruit, Adam will only care when it affects his profits.
