Aunty JeanParticipantThe problem is once he has a baby of his own how will he treat Henry?
Badly would be my guess
And God help the poor little bugger if it’s a girl.
He noticeable said to Henry ‘you’ll have a little brother…’

Glyn FulleloveParticipantIf it is a boy, will they call it Ethan? (Trying to provide some light relief).

Aunty JeanParticipantDamien would be my bet ??????

Paul RoomeParticipantWill it get that far?
I read in this weekend’s paper that the storyline comes to a head around Christmas. That will be when Helen has her scan, and finds out she’s having girl. Possibly…

Peter MabbuttParticipantFatherhood will only give Rob another victim to abuse. But I doubt whether it will get that far, though. They will find out that the baby will be a girl, and Rob will then arrange a suitable “accident” for Helen…

WitherspoonModeratorA strategically placed roller skate at the top of the stairs.
Did you catch when Rob said to Helen that the pregnancy was the best thing that ever happened to each of them. “What was Henry, chopped liver?” as we used to say in many a Brooklyn home when I grew up.

Janie MurrayParticipantI don’t think Rob will change – just become more of the same. More controlling, more selfish, nastier. The trouble is that Helen is going to be more dependant on him when she gives up work and has his baby. I’m just hoping thAT Kirsty or Pat will see through his lies and save her.

Becky BlackParticipantI don’t think it can happen. He has much deeper issues than can be changed by anyone but a psychiatrist – and even they’d have a tough job to change anything more than his behaviour superficially. If he wanted to change. I’m convinced he has narcissistic personality disorder.
Either that or he’s a minion of Satan.

Goddess DeevaParticipantHe will not care a jot for this baby, even if it is a boy. He doesn’t even care if it is a boy, he said that to exert more control over Helen and set her up to fail him so he can punish her.
I hope she has a termination.

Sean GeraghtyParticipantDoes anyone truly believe that Helen is going to give birth to Rob’s child??

KatieKingParticipantYes, agree, Rob definitely has Narcissistic Personality Disorder! Is that treatable, or is it a hopeless case?

Jon The FirstParticipantDid anyone notice this week that Rob referred to this pregnancy as a “normal” pregnancy? Surely Henry was a normal pregnancy, even if his conception was slightly less traditional. I was willing Helen to speak up and defend her son, but she didn’t. I still reckon Rob’s going to try and get rid of Henry somehow as he won’t fit the perfect family he wants.
October 11, 2015 at 1:48 pm #2019
Spare MousieParticipantI certainly did notice it! What an incredibly nasty thing for Rob to say. He has already dropped the idea into her head that she is ‘ugly and unlovable’ (by pretending to tell her the opposite ‘that’ night).
I don’t, however, think he wants to get rid of Henry. It’s been suggested he’ll pack him off to boarding school at the first opportunity but I don’t think he will even if they could afford it. Worse, he will make Henry his ally and teach him to disrespect his mother and women in general. He’s already started. He blatantly contradicts Helen’s instructions to Henry in front of the child and he’s planted the idea that ‘we don’t want a baby girl’ in the Henry’s head.
I hope this story finishes before Rob has totally messed up Henry’s mind.

Becky BlackParticipantI noticed that Jon. It was another little dig wasn’t it? Rob’s a master of the microagression.
Helen’s got an elevated risk of suffering pre-eclampsia, since she’s got a prior history of it. How soon before Rob starts using his “concern” over that to keep her from so much as leaving the house, never mind working?

Glyn FulleloveParticipantI give it about a week! He will certainly do anything to keep her away from Kirsty, now she is back in Ambridge.
