Sorry Dusty for the delay in replying and thanks Milliebelle for the shout out that brought me back here to investigate. I’ve not been on the forum for ages.
Pip has not been well served by the SW recently and is being a pain in the b*m. If she is intelligent enough to understand the seminar why can’t she see that Rex is besotted? It doesn’t take an aero engineer like Alice to point it out. If last week was bad enough yesterday was worse.
Post Alice’s “revelation” she should have stopped sending out mixed messages and sat Rex down, spelling it out in words of one syllable: YOU ARE A FRIEND THAT IS ALL. Instead she invites him to the party inferring he is her +1 then goes all giggly over someone else. Talk about a slap in the face with a wet fish!

Ergh! That giggly, screechy party episode was hideous! Pip is driving me to the ‘off’ button almost as often as Rob did – but in a much less sinister way, natch! So right, the two of you…
Thank you Andrew and Sarahsarie. The point about Pip being ill served is one I can make about Lyndibots and Kenton and other characters who have to behave in ways that suit a storyline rather than the character built up over decades. Old Pip was vulnerable, easily hurt, prey to the likes of Jude (Byeeeee). She would have engaged easily with Rex. This new Pip, while an easier listen in a number of ways, simply doesn’t compute.
Gradual evolution could work, handbrake turns don’t.
