I am beginning to wonder if Caz is not real and is purely in Helen’s mind. Perhaps this is why Helen is able to open up to her, because her mind is processing events. This would also explain why she’s not asked about Caz and her life. This explanation seems plausible to me, and would make for good drama, but I doubt the SW have thought that much into it. The scripts relating to this story havn’t been at their best and the SW have probably opted for a stereotype inmate. Sigh…
I Wonder whether, once Helen is back in her own mind, she can be a bit of a help/mentor to Caz, who seems to be inside as a result of a bad choice of man and feer life chances. Caz in Ambridge and working in the Bridge Farm shop, when Rob finally gets his come-uppance?
I’m not one to be picky about spelling but I’m calling her Kaz in the character stats because that’s how it’s spelt in the cast lists on the BBC website.
Ok let’s go with Kaz then. Interesting to consider if she actually does exist in real life. She has no back story yet, other than a few hints that she has been through a domestic violence situation also.
That branch of the Archer clan is so self-obsessed, apart from thicko Johnny. Helen is just a taker, she has no empathy with other people. She soaks up Ian and Emma, and never seems to be interested in them. As long as they pander to her fragile, dysfunctional ego she will keep on sponging off them.
