It’s the inappropriate laugh that grates, Rob used it as a weapon to put Helen down or make her feel ill at ease. I am not sure whether Justin was intentionally trying to unsettle Helen or just lacking the social grace needed when trying to make small talk with the almost inlaws when you have just shafted them in a business deal.
