This summary was written in South America looking for the grave of the late but wonderful Nelson Gabriel.
For those with a long memory Nelson was the improbably well spoken son of the original country bumpkin, Walter Gabriel, who amongst other exploits brought an elephant to the village. My old pal, my old beauty, Walter was the original incompetent tenant farmer, later personified by Joe and then Eddie Grundy.
Nelson was cut from another cloth entirely having something to do with the post office van robbery (the local plod being unable to secure a conviction despite fingerprints). Later Nelson ran antiques business teaching Kenton everything the latter has ever known as well as subsequently running a much missed jazz cafe in Borchester.
In another life Nelson was Gandalf in the BBC Radio adaptation of “The Lord of the Rings”. Remember the pictures are always better on the wireless and if it comes around on Radio 4 extra give it a listen.
I could tell you what happened on the podcast this week but then I would have to kill you. Do both of us a favour and go and listen to Lucy & Roifield because it is always very funny, although both said little happened this week in Ambridge, bit like this summary.
Finally a question. Does Roifield know that Lucy went Dutch with Robert?
Kosmo.
This week’s Dumteedum is from Rich and his parrot.
On this week’s episode we hear views from:
Miss Mid City who thinks they may as well be investigating the Invisible Man
New York Nigel who’s impatient
Claire who’s celebrating
Glyn who thinks Robert’s a decent cove
Clare who’s going off Lynda
and
Abi who’s feeling cocky
