Dr Nicola Headlam gets to headline the DumTeeDum opening again with the Archers Academics day coming soon. Lucy with a slightly muffled and unscheduled Robert guide us through the somewhat strained waters of the week in Ambridge as there were cups of tea (from a proper teapot – hence the straining) and cake everywhere this week! The waters then got choppy when there was a village meeting over the TCE and even choppier when David learned that Lizzie knew about Toblerone first! Toxoplasmosis is rumoured to be on the horizon.
Meanwhile the real week in the Freeman and Brown households has been rent with far more drama than a month of Archers docudrama from the BBC; hopefully all are now on the mend.
Lucy reveals that she enjoys public meetings on The Archers so that she can listen to the audience as it always more fun than the action in the foreground. Robert cannot understand why David is upset that Lizzie knew first about Toblerone – conclusion Robert has not had grandchildren! Of course the grandparents should know first after the parents says a grandparent!
Aunty Jean diagnoses Neil with cancer (opinions are divided on his ability to survive) and predicts Brian will not be doing porridge but will have to sell his shares in Home Farm to Justin Elliott. Jenny is also ill. Robert has a deconstructed pizza when he is unwell according to Lucy, it is not sure that it will work on Jenny. Glyn and our hosts discuss the future romantic possibilities for the latest Welsh import plus Josh’s inability to contribute to farm activities. It seems likely that Alice will lose her job and the result will enable her to end her alcohol addiction all in the space of 75 minutes.
