I have to say I am a little more tempted by Lucy’s suggestion that Shula will turn on the charm and take Philip away from Kirsty – although why he would give up the righteous, holier than thou, hunt hating conservationist for the righteous, holier than thou, hunt master and property owner … oh yes I think I can see why now.

The writers obviously struggle with getting couples together – how long have the following been single:
Tom, Johnny, Lily, Freddie, Phoebe, Jazzer, Josh, Kate, Lizzie – it all seems so unlikely? I can understand that the older generation of Carol, Jill, Bert, Christine, Jim and Kathy may consider they are past it – but the proportion of singletons seems high to me.

And as for Alistair and Lizzie – somehow I just don’t think he would. Shula and Oliver must be a possibility too?

Ooh, Shula and Oliver. I like the way your mind works, Kosmo. Welcome back.

Jazzer, Lizzie, Josh, Kate and Johnnie should have a lot more relationships and interest taken in them than has happened. Jazzer in particular always struck me as someone who would treat a significant other well and Josh always struck me as one who would be a player. Also Lizzie should have someone-her voice always made me think she looks great and with the children out of the house she is in the prime of life. It always seems weird that the sixty year old plus such as Jolene and Lillian have fully fledged relationships and affairs more than the younger ones(not being ageist here well maybe I am) but in the past two years Lillian and her age group have had more affairs than the other ones put together! Let the younger ones have affairs and relationships as well!
