Due to previous engagements we have a whistle stop tour of both Ambridge and the Warsaw Ghetto in wartime this week – sorry not got time to explain further!
I do need to mention a couple of corrections.
Firstly Christine’s son Peter was adopted by the Johnsons in 1965 and has therefore always been Peter Johnson and not Barford. I am not at all sure when we last heard an actual voice – I think he was at George’s funeral but unheard.
Secondly, Lowfield “now” says that Lily is off to Greece – which implies someone over there is listening to DumTeeDum! However on listening to the programme concerned she is talking about a weekend break in Bruges (which I can confirm to Lily is indeed a lovely city). So Greece was wrong, Puglia was wrong. It was (a very poorly spoken) Bruges – and this is not the first time that Lily’s inability to speak clearly has surfaced – clarity is essential in radio performers.
Then there is great entertainment in Andrew Horn and Roifield getting sabotaged by the great Visa credit card meltdown of a week or so back.
And our callers make various prescient prognostications on the next Ambridge resident to meet the grim reaper based on recent events!
