The important news this week which came through during recording is that our Witherspoon is on the road to recovery and has been out for a walk. Along with everyone else we wish him a swift and complete recovery and look forward to his active return to the podcast.
The BIG news this week is that DumTeeDum live is going to Birmingham Town Hall (I thought it was a city) on Sunday 7 October when Lucy is threatening to leave the rarefied heights of London for this modest Midlands town. No details on any website yet – but like Lucy you might like to put the date in your diaries. I can only assume Roifield is not returning to the US for a while?
I mentioned last week that Lily needs to enunciate as she swallows words such as “Bruges”. This week our hosts indicate they have little sympathy for our little mastermind and Lucy attributes this almost entirely to her voice. I suspect it does not help that there is a huge mismatch between the age of Lily and her alter ego.
For Millie Belle’s benefit abuse from children in this country is usually far worse than Freddie hands out to his mother, I am glad that children are more respectful down under.
Also somewhere The Archers was discussed – but it probably was not important. Glyn has a wonderful comparison between Shula, Alastair and leaving the EU but the latter will happen and I am not sure about the former. There seems to be a rising expectation that Kirsty and Tom will come to their senses – hopefully this decade.

This week we have calls from Glyn, Clare from Clapham and Vicky Cole.
