Wedding week. I think it is fair to report that Lucy was not impressed by the wedding. Indeed what was the point of making up that Natasha’s parents had broken down and Tony was asked to walk her down the aisle? Her parents would have travelled the day before and stayed with her overnight – this was poor. Equally poor was the stag night – but then you need Rob to organise one of those and send the groom off to Mid Wales or similar, not listen to shoes being shone!
And can I raise a pet peeve? An upstairs bar cannot flood and to be honest as I recall the Bull from when it was a village pub with rooms (which was common until the fire regulations changed in the 1970’s) there are a lot of small rooms upstairs but nowhere to serve as a room for dancing and carousing which was suddenly invented when Lilian and Scott were line dancing. I refuse to believe the flood bar actually exists or that there is an H&S approved route to / from it for any decent number of people. I struggle to conceive an external fire escape for it.
Many contributors this week ranging from the lack of public sector workers in Ambridge to a general wish to see Witherspoon wearing a “therapist in a tabard” tabard!
