Roifield and Lucy return to our ears. Lucy is in rhetorical mode asking questions to try and understand the script and she is not alone.
I had a couple of problems with content of The Archers this week. Ian claimed to have worked a “shift” before going clubbing! Ian is a chef and in overall charge of food and catering at Gay Grables and such people do not work “shifts”. A bit later Bev denied she had said that she would take Poppy and yet she did say it. If someone says they will do something then you believe them like Will did, but that story ignores the support team Clarrie constructed for Will and once again demonstrates the appalling continuity problems as stories are not being edited correctly.
Lucy firmly believes that Chris will be coming out of the closet before long which will solve Alice’s feelings about parenthood. She then manages to sum up her monologue by saying nothing much happened. Despite nothing happening this is a 72 minute episode! I felt that one of the best episodes for some time was the Lloyds in Stratford-upon-Avon as they rebuilt Jim – once again demonstrating how we each see different aspects of the programme.
