Quentin Rayner joins Roifield and Rosie Porty this week and the programme commences with a demolition job on Peggy Woolley with the proposition being demolished (can you molish anything?) by Quentin who is on fine form. And Roifield weighs in on Peggy’s side as well. Whilst we could all do without re-wilding for the grand old woman to have yet another go at Tony for no good reason other than he was unwanted in the first place was out of order and did nothing for the good humour of listeners – but who cares about them these days?
Callers then move onto discuss Shula’s journey. Quentin speaks for many of us in that we did not understand why a divorce from Alastair was essential for the journey to commence. With him in the house at least she had company and surely it is better to be with someone than many hours of solitude which Shula must be enduring in lockdown with the stables closed and no riding lessons etc.
I must correct Rosie. Pat did not have an affair. She was tempted – but it never went beyond a late night discussion. Tony then dreamt up organic farming and this lured Pat back to his side so she could uphold her socialist principles! After all what man could actually lecture on Womens’ Studies? Ill conceived at best!
