Given that there was a weird overlap between model railways (Tony) and super heroes (Lee) in the barn at Bridge Farm during the week it was hardly a surprise when Roifield was able to extol his knowledge of the super heroes. Regrettably Philippa does not seem to have an extensive knowledge of model trains but did impress her husband with knowledge of the non-green Hulk – which is apparently simply a printer error.
I feel that four episodes a week remains a huge problem. We are constantly being dunked in excess quantities of alcohol with Alice so that other stories are either not there (constantly we are missing vast numbers of village residents) and the other stories are unable to provide proper balance across the week. The team are trying hard – but the skinny version of our addiction has been happening for a year now and whilst there are no problems in the TV soaps managing to get back to full production and staying at appropriate physical distances – but not hard enough and we need the full fat version so bring back some Jerseys. Even Philippa and Vicky are remarking on the absence of Sunday and Friday episodes – particularly Sunday which often provided a gentle counterweight to the rest of the relentless nature. Even Roifield has been losing his affection for The Archers a little recently.
Finally, Roifield admits that he did not listen to those appalling monologues. Some of us waded through them! Roifield – let me know if you want to listen to them!
