Quentin is finding loose balls in the West Country and then goes on a rampant sex-athon at Lower Loxley where he is joined by Philippa as Rosie is hors-de-combat.
Philippa admits to a BoJo sized u-turn on Mince Casey as he has gone from being her blue-eyed boy to having a thieving, mendacious killer profile; she reckons that with the mother only interested in the cash (a huge casting mistake to employ a National Treasure in such a role) that plans are afoot to end the widder Pargetter and rob the estate blind. Given we have had two new male members of the cast go from being upright respected members of the community to being either a misunderstood husband or a builder keen on developing the skills of his team, I honestly don’t think lightning will strike three times in a row. Quentin reminds us that he has continuing doubts about Joy. Quentin accepts that the grounds of Phillipa’s theory do exist.
And of course that is before we raise Russ. I was going to say that he has been cuckolded, but as Russ and Lily are not wedded, that is not accurate; I suppose he has been the subject of Lily “cheating” – can anyone help me with the right technical terminology please in these, presumably common, occurrences? Interesting of course that Lily by her actions and Russ by his words do not actually want to be tied together – will Lily work this out for herself or will Rex explain it to her? And will Lily be pregnant as a result of her dalliance, after all how many times did it take Jenny?
