An evening with Sunny Ormande, Wisbech Fri 29th April!

Hi fellow DumTeeDummers, I’ve just booked tickets to an event at the Angles Theatre in Wisbech on Friday 29th April – and thought a few of you might like to know about it too. OK, Wisbech is the a*se end of nowhere, but the Theatre is really sweet. It is snug (for Gawd’s sake don’t wear a puffer jacket) so we should be able to take a swig out of Lillian’s G&T from a back row seat and whisper in her ear. Yes, it’s that cosy. No binoculars required. Tickets £11 / starts at 7.30pm www.anglestheatre.co.uk Hope to see a few of […]

Omnibus Reflections: 17th January 2016

Ed Grundy delivered the Gettysburg Address with all the oratory panache of a farmhand reading off a scrappy bit of paper. Alan reminded us of all the escaped animals over the years, like an errant serpent. Of course, we all know what happened to the snake. He ended up marrying Helen. Speaking of Mr Titchener, showing off one further facet of his Unimpeachable Knowledge of All Things (demonstrated subjects so far include: The role of Minimalistic Shop Design in rural Retail, The Optimal Artificial Insemination Regime for Battery Cows, Ratcatcher Chic for the Hunts of Borsetshire, and ‘I Know What’s […]

Ambridge Elseworlds #3: “A Christmas Carol Tregorran”

Exactly two years after the death of her benefactor Daddy Jack Wooley, a miserable, mean-spirited old cow named Hazel McScrooge is working in her office. She loves money, but hates almost everything else, including (but not limited to): Happiness Fun Love Freedom Family the Human Race in general Poor people in particular Acts of generosity Village shops Calendars Girls ‘Calendar Girls’ Christmas, and Puppies One particularly frigid Christmas Eve, Peggy reluctantly phones to invite Hazel over to Christmas dinner the next day; Hazel yells a tirade of abuse at her and frostily refuses the invitation (rather to Peggy’s relief). When […]
