Phillip Townley reprises his DumTeeDum to open the show. A whole week of every single Archer at the throat of another Archer includes two family parties as well as shoe-horning the General Election into the podcast.
None of us remember Terry Barford as Lizzie’s boyfriend and it is not mentioned in any reference book. Terry did like the attractions of Carline Bone but she was not taken (rare for her). Lucy also explains the concept of “playing in the bins” over Ruth and Pip. No-one can understand why a) Pip keeps forgetting things and b) why does Pip not understand why Ruth is so angry with her? Roifield contends that Ruth tearing Pip off a strip was poorly written and came out in a very weird way. But Pip is in the wrong – but there is concern that Ruth went over the top; Auntie Jean thinks any normal farmworker would have been sacked for Pip’s errors.
Christian is a first time caller and used some choice apposite language concerning Josh which I cannot repeat in a family summary! Christian is allowed to swear and is probably a Charlie Thomas. Josh is slightly more capable of correction than Tom who seems to have reverted to pre-wedding Tom.
Sussex Shepherd reminds us of Norman Painting and how they used to do Topical Inserts. He only has 11 sheep which qualifies him as a shepherd about which Roifield is not allowed to comment!
Yokel Bear is feeling delicate after a late night. He also supplied the Tweet of the Week concerning an oversized pussy. Then Lucy goes to get her hair dressed.
At the end there are a couple of specials – “All about Bees” & “Music of the Archers” analysed – Emily Thomas and JoJo Sexy Heels did the hard work.
