Lucy starts strongly by completely avoiding mention of the wedding which did not happen and which wasted hours of Archers time but none of the podcast! Thank you Lucy. Roifield called it a fraud perpetrated by the writers and the editor. Much appreciation for Noluthando was expressed. Noluthando has helped Peggy with music, is keeping Freddie almost on the straight and narrow and can sort out Kate – as well as providing treatments at Spiritual Home!
Blithe Spirit reckons that again the characters are being twisted to suit weak stories – it is not the fault of the writers, simply that the editors over the last 4 years have really not been providing proper stewardship with the currently credited editor going off to Coronation Street (not Emmerdale), the last one went to EastEnders before leaving at very short notice. In my view neither of them was entirely in tune with The Archers or rural life.
Claire liked the non-existent wedding; she sees it as Justin actually succumbing to Matt’s prediction on the need to manage Lilian. Claire then moves onto the absurdity of Pat – who did not ensure that only low cost housing was built on her land and is taking an interest in homeless people now she is a millionairess! Has Jill been near the friends cafe recently? Inconsistent!
And we are all stunned with shock and awe as Witherspoon swears on air!
Roifield then spends most of the podcast talking about something called the Crown which Lucy and I have not seen. Finally Lucy predicts that Rex will reveal that Toby already has a child in Brighton.

On this week’s episode we hear views from
Blithe Spirit who’s suffering from plastic neuroses
Claire who thinks Justin’s confused Lilian with Ruby
Witherspoon who’s got panto-sadness
and
Abi from Brighton who can see morons
