This week’s podcast is a recording of Monday night’s live extravaganza when the DTD faithful assembled at the BBC cafe in Central London. Roifield and Lucy are joined by Ania Sowinski (aka Lexi), Annabelle Dowler (aka Kirsty) and Becky Wright (a ghostly Nic). Shambridges arrived later! Plus a special guest appearance from Derek.
Absolutely loved “Adam the Paranoid Android” – Lucy’s best line. Who does freeze kedgeree asks Lucy? Answers on an email to Lucy please. Lucy says it is much easier to do the monologue when there are no faces in front of her. Lucy seems not to want to talk about Fallon and Harrison – after all it was a very strange story of their engagement.
Annabelle loves trying to explain why her alter ego is living in the village and how she does cold open water swimming – she hopes it becomes a weekly Sunday exercise. Becky feels Jake and Mia should stay with Will as he took them on and has been a father to them. She also comments on the end of her 11 years with The Archers and the stories which flow from her character’s death. Ania seeks to explain why her other self is acting as a surrogate mother – perhaps it will become clearer as the story unwinds. All three fill in more background detail of “Life with the Ambridge Team”.
Becky is undertaking fund raising for the Sepsis Trust – you can support her here at her Just Giving page.
Derek speaks for the first time ever – quite movingly – about Will and his studio performance.

With us today we are very honoured to have Ania who plays Lexie, Annabelle who plays Kirsty and Becky who plays our dear departed Nic.
This week’s Dumteedum is from the collected voices of those assembled at the live Dumteedum at the BBC Cafe.
