A little light jazz on sax to open “Hello You Two, right you are” as perhaps that is an appropriate title for Roifield and Lucy to adopt in place of dumteedum. The big news is that “silent” Derek actually gets to call in this week. Lucy is getting packed up at present – she is using packers so is considerably more upmarket than Jennifer.
Lucy rapidly observes that Home Farm is going to be much altered. The new owners have a party and the attendees have fun and do not indulge in tribal warfare as was the case under the Aldridges. Pity the internal mikes appear to have been disconnected. She also introduces us to Tim Oatey who is uncertain as to his ethnic origin being somewhere between Canberra, Christchurch and Cheltenham.
Brian never tried it on with Annabelle Schrivener. That was Matt Crawford who tried it and got nowhere. So that is one less notch on the bedpost (wherever the bedposts might be). Correction the last appearance of Tracy Horrobin was when she wanted to look around Home Farm in the early Autumn.
Much of the week was taken up with revisiting back stories for various characters, almost as though it had been written to enable newcomers to try and work out who is who in the village. I wonder if this will continue over the next few weeks as Tim and Bella the barmaid start meeting people.

“A first-class car for a first class shag?” said Tim Hathaway, of Brine’s locations for Siobhan-encounters.
It’s, ahem, a great line, what a great memory you have!
