First up. “Vote early and vote often” might characterise politics in Chicago but your favourite (and of course mine – but then I have already voted) podcast needs your support at https://www.britishpodcastawards.com/vote – where you can search for DumTeeDum and vote for Lucy and Roifield. Also remember you can support the running costs at https://www.patreon.com/dumteedum with a small contribution to enable Lucy to give her son back his console headphones so he can go back to playing games in peace.
Special mention this week to Basil and her persistent tormenting of Jimmy Hedgericks the resident hedgehog at DumTeeDum towers.
The Archers itself can go from the sublime (the adult and semi-apologetic discussion between Jim and Shula) and the absolute ridiculous (Tom ditching the pigs and Jazzer without a second thought). Not to mention the absolutely unbelievable treatment Peggy handed out to Emma without reason a week ago. Since the Whitburn editorship (which itself got off to a pretty rocky start) the swerve from character driven natural plot and people development has swung to being plot and action driven with most of us expecting “Ender” like duff-duff-duffs at every development. We keep hoping something like normality will return but there is no sign of it.
I rarely mention Millie Belle, Yokel Bear and Witherspoon who are providing the social media updates and many thanks to them.
So the podcast is in fine order and is ready and waiting for the official BBC competition which it has been alleged will be forthcoming soon!

Who could resist a night out with The Archers’ Emma Grundy? Parish councillor and Grundy wife extraordinaire, Emma, played by Emerald O’Hanrahan, is rapidly becoming a listener favourite. More entertaining than one of Bert’s poems, tastier than a Brookfield lemon drizzle and WAY better than Jolene singing at The Bull. See you there.
On this week’s episode we hear views from Witherspoon, Monty, Dusty, and Sue.
