The presenter chair has a new occupant as Andrew Horn returns to join Naked Fingers. Andrew is pretending to be Lucy. Andrew started off by picking up the pieces of Jim which had been shattered at the end of the previous week. But he finds like Alastair that stitching Jim back together may be easier said than done.
Ed and Emma are buying an affordable house. This usually means it is very small. How in heavens name therefore are they going to get an upcycled coffee table and all of the other furniture into this tiny house?
In some respects our hosts find that the week feels uneven. Centrepiece has been mending of the egg which is Jim and the impact on Alastair, Jazzer and the knock on to Shula, Susan and Alan, all of whom now have some realisation of Jim’s state of suffering. The rest of the week outside these was odd – the pub quiz was notable for Justin and Lilian exhibiting strange behaviour for no reason whilst Emma getting rear ended was not justified by the ongoing drug events.
There has been extensive deconstruction of Peggy’s charity on the internet – basically it is not legal (https://medium.com/@abarbararich/the-ambridge-conservation-trust-c7f44f7a79c8) and past stories have made it clear she does not have the money. Good stories on The Archers respect the history and the characters; recent events are undermining the entire space time continuum – or as the good Doctor might put it “it is damaging the timey-winey reality”.
