With the holiday season in full swing (I have been cruising the Rhine & the Moselle for example) we have another change in hosts with Robert being joined by Angela Barnes who steps into Lucy’s delicate shoes to deliver the weekly summary of life in Ambridge as it becomes ever more peculiar!
Older readers will have heard of the “Rumble in the Jungle”; well this week feels more like an “Amble in the Am” as the twosome not only cover the pitifully chosen and presented stories of Ambridge events but tell us about far more interesting subjects such as Robert meeting Rachel Atkins (the much missed Vicky Tucker), alcohol consumption, atomic bunkers, multi-coloured sex dungeons, rural housing problems in Oxford, gin, real ale, aperol spritz, Italian art as well as letting loose the odd “bugger”, not to mention the head butts which Roifield (who has been sussed as not being an international man of mystery, but simply sits in his parents’ basement reading action hero magazines!) has not edited out.
For once I am stumped as I do not know about Jazzer’s father, or indeed much about his family. Is it me or are these questions getting harder?
Angela has an upcoming tour plus she and Robert will be celebrating her birthday at Dumteedum live at Birmingham Town Hall on 9 November with many Dumteedummers. Book your ticket now for Angela’s party.
