Summarising this week’s DumTeeDum has been delayed by one of those disasters that always seems to strike me – the batteries on the earphones run down about two minutes after starting the dog walk where it was planned to absorb this week’s words of whimsy (sorry I think that should read wisdom) from Lucy, who has returned from her travels to deliver a wicked summary of the week in Ambridge which majors on pussy, and Roifield who regales us with a story of the kindness of the DTD community during his visit to Canada.
Being episode 300 there are lots of kind comments from all round the community congratulating our hosts and contributors on the group therapy which the weekly offering provides. In particular the sale of tickets for soon to happen Afternoon Live in Birmingham is notable as average sales are 1.5 tickets per purchaser, most events are for 2.5 tickets per sale. The difference is that for most of us our partners simply cannot stand The Archers but we are not afraid of meeting strangers who also love to hate it – or possibly just want to meet Roifield and Lucy of course.
As I am sure Roifield knows a “shambles” is traditionally a butcher’s slaughterhouse (or as David Archer prefers – “the place where Mince Casey meets his end”) or abattoir and I am not really sure there is much blood or guts spilt in putting together DumTeeDum this week, although Red Agnes sounds as though she wishes to dismember a few of the residents of the village!

After 299 long hard episodes, Lucy and Roifield embark on the 300th…
OMG 😲 Firefighters and exploding seamen!! Just laughed out loud at that.
Thanks for cheering me up on a Sunday morning. It has been a typical Dumtedum definitely. See you next weekend.
