Lucy opened the show being joined by Andrew Horn, Roifield Brown, Suzie Riddell and Angela Barnes, the latter along with Catherine receiving an opening Happy Birthday preceeding the DumTeeDum performed by the 180 in the audience.
Suzie was an early version of Kate Aldridge leading Will & Ed astray amongst other doings for about 5 years before leaving returning after 17 years to take up the role of Tracy. Angela’s listening history was pre-Siobhan and she remembers Eddie on crack. Angela’s boyfriend’s face is apparently a picture but that does not work in either the podcast or in my little summary. It also sounds as if most of the audience are in some way related to those on the podium as they keep getting mentions.
According to Glyn, Uncle Keri is certain George did not steal the church money so Alf has to take the blame. The entire Carmen storyline was by common consent entirely bizarre, poorly plotted, written, acted and directed. Dire, absolutely dire. And not while Joe was laying in the Chapel of Rest. Alongside Freddie reading (can he?) and then not hearing Lily & Lara meeting as that would have been fascinating. Roifield makes his feelings absolutely clear in a diplomatic way.
As Lucy observes we are critical because we love The Archers and listen very closely to the content.
Yokel Bear arrived with his Big Red Book to do the Social Media roundup of stray cats.
