We have had Lucy’s week in Ambridge start the podcast and Roifield delivers his thanks for six years of Lucy, her comic brilliance and her insight into the human race with an incredible ability to articulate aspects of human behaviour and psyche which might otherwise be overlooked. Roifield also admits that Lucy has improved his professionalism and also perhaps to improve him as a human being. Her contribution to the DumTeeDum community has made it what it has become and the achievements of the community – meetups, public meetings and so on are due to Lucy V Freeman – who was the Queen pin for the last six years. And she will forever be part of our community, its pin up and to whom we will always owe our thanks. Good Luck Lucy.
I almost think I cannot write about the podcast this week. Lying awake the other night I suddenly became struck by the phrase “Flame haired temptress”. Are all temptresses “flame haired”? If ladies are “flame haired” are they always temptresses? I did think of asking Keri Warbis but came to the conclusion that asking anyone about the colour of anything these days may be a problem. If anyone can tell who the original flame-haired temptress was please let me know. Siobhan of course was Irish and dark.
Lockdown monologues may be setting up future stories but concentrating so hard is difficult and I simply did not recognise Ben who really was not Ben. I just don’t think Susan has the time to be a radio host. Too much shoe-horning!
