Our podcast was a little late this week but it still covers a lot of the Am. Our hosts have not quite got to grips with the reality that Adam is a boring middle aged man, a time of life I have experienced. At a relatively advanced age he is having to cope with a baby, a partner returning to work, an unappreciative boss (and whatever happened to the boring uninteresting Home Farm partnership meetings? , ahhh, think I just answered that question) and has been usurped by the golden child (he was lucky Ruaridh is still at school or he would really experience getting kicked sideways). And you still expect him to be HAPPY?
Elsewhere our hosts have time to reflect on Cary Grant, necromancy and writhing on the ground in pain all of which may or may not be relevant to the Ambridge residents.
I feel I need to reiterate that the alcoholism gene dominating Alice’s behaviour comes not from Brian but from grandfather Jack, Peggy’s first husband, the former landlord of The Bull. Later he became a gambler and it could be argued that Alice is gambling with her (and Home Farm’s) future. Lilian likes a drink, Brian likes a drink but Alice has to have an alcoholic drink.
And the new social media team are bedding in very well keeping all these modern media outlets buzzing with Archers’ related activities.
