How likely is it that someone living in a glass house would either denigrate another local resident and perform rumpy-pumpy without drawing the curtains in the same week? One or the other but not both, not when treating your beloved wife to stinky blue cheese and scrappy organic vegetables (presumably in the hope that she will suffer food poisoning and that you can replace her with the mistress); indeed if you are concerned about property values, why would you even contemplate observing about the feckless neighbours in a public forum as that is simply going to make things worse! Somehow I sense a complete lack of quality control in the storyline.
Roifield is joined by Philippa for this week as they dissect public school boy entitlement, Alice’s experience of rehabilitation (yes, yes, yes), plus the way that Helen had to lie and be no better than her detractor rather than taking the opportunity to explain why coercive control is likely to lead to a charge of attempted murder and I think that the whole Adam storyline is far detached from reality, both for Adam and Brian, that it cannot be real, a sad situation for anything in The Archers.
However our dynamic duo fall out as Philippa claims not to have heard from Roifield by text recently and we are subjected to a slight disagreement between the two – it almost feels like an episode of EastEnders. Roifield is only doing two more podcasts – 398 and 400 and he is then retiring from the microphone!
