All hail Roifield as he appears one last time. Philippa puts him under the microscope and questions him about the recent zoom. In particular he admits that staring down 40 cows was not the most pleasurable experience of his time with Dumteedum; apparently their size was slightly surprising, but none them bulls! Roifield is also able to celebrate that we are more than a podcast as the virtual community has often become a physical connection in many cases.
We are back to five episodes a week and once again the number of contributors is off the scale. Regrettably Rosie dials into advise that other commitments mean that she is also leaving the presenter line up. There are some admin changes, listen to find out.
Philippa points out that Ambridge has different recruitment and employment processes whereby a leaver can depart in 2 weeks and will be replaced in an unadvertised position, where no interviews are scheduled, references have not been sought and apparently no notice period is needed to leave their current position. A word to the wise, if a builder is available next week then his work is pretty shoddy, look elsewhere!
And my personal thank you to Roifield. I was invited, almost sight unseen, to write these summaries 6 or 7 years ago and after some early guidance I have been allowed to comment, sometimes to go completely off piste (indeed off-Archers), without criticism or finger wagging. Thank you Roifield and I hope the replacement activities you pursue bring you as much pleasure as we know DumTeeDum has provided to us.
