Graham Seed in a gorilla suit will be at the DumTeeDum get together on November 14 when much fun will ensue. Derek prefers the shopping at Bicester Village rather than Oxford.
Peggy came in for some heavy criticism in this episode – but Lucy has perhaps not realised the journey she has undertaken from being a left wing firebrand from the East End through marriage to an alcoholic to her current status as semi-matriach of half of the village, most of whom turned out alright.
Lynda’s value to the village came about from fortune telling, running the fete and being instrumental in preserving the character of the business when under attack from external forces plus being a sympathetic ear to teenagers.
The subject of death came up again for discussion and I can only quote Carson “Life is short and death is sure”. Whilst we know how we see Rob – how does he see himself? Lucy believes he sees himself as superior to the lesser beings surrounding him. And some of Rob’s better qualities were also discussed; he is perhaps a good manager, although his treatment of Helen remains a concern.
A wide range of other subjects were discussed – Oxford, mourning periods, Birmingham, Kate and Jenny’s gardener called Simon, plus midwives and labour. Listen and learn.
And Tweet of the Week relied on Davros’ one eye whilst Dr Who required him to open two eyes.
