Pip gets a good kicking from the team this evening. And she deserves it. Since the voice changed it has been impossible to believe in “nu-Pip” and her stories, particularly involving re-wilding simply beggar belief. Roifield supports this in identifying Pip as lacking audio identity as compared with the previous incumbent.
For the record the Trustees were appointed when Nigel was murdered by David. However the chair of Trustees was talking absolute bollocks in the way he spoke to Lizzie which was entirely out of order. If the Trustees cared about the estate and looking after the inheritance then they should have been meeting Freddie regularly both before and after the court case and indeed should now be asking him to attend meetings and sit in – even if he is not a Trustee. He may not be able to vote but he should be consulted, in exactly the same way as Ruth is supposed to be looking after Ruari’s interests in Home Farm (and whatever happened to that storyline?). If the Trustees are at all concerned about Freddie then they should be talking to him. I cannot believe TPTB have got it so wrong.
Radio Carter is also a complete mistake – so that is three stories at least which are completely adrift at present. The biggest surprise is Jane Gage ringing in to support Ruth. Well someone has to when the rest of the immediate Archer family are so incompetent.

oh my, how I laughed last night at the latest podcast. Thank you, it’s SO needed on the even of the US election, and a few days from UK sheltering protocols being put in place (you call it lockdown, but I feel ISN’T punishment it’s about protecting the entire society). I’m CANADIAN for heaven’s sake but my anxiety over the above is pretty high! To be fair, my elderly F-I-L lives in NYC and my daughter is finishing her final year at Oxford in a college bedroom (now that’s a real treat for a foreign student, right?), so I guess I have reason.
I’m really enjoying the new team – Peter’s self-deprecation is wonderful – and as I lie in bed listening am heard to laugh aloud several times by Best Beloved, esp. last night with so many remarks on the Pipster (and yes, I agree her hours-in vis-a-vis mothering are pretty lame, I’d have LOVED to have so much help, free rent, a guaranteed job etc. etc. etc. when I was a new mother). I also loathe Rue-th, it really MUST be tough being a married into a major landowning family, have 24/7 babysitting cook and housekeeper, etc. But I agree with your callerinerer who believes Josh is the real go-getter to see the ‘farm’ into the mid-century. I could witter on. I won’t. Thanks again for the distraction. I’m a Sam btw.
Really agree and condone the deconstruction of Plop. Odious, dim, lying little madam, and so pleased that Rex called her out. Will it stop her though?
Nahhh. She’s an ARCHER.
