My mother is an avid listener so I grew up with at least a passing acquaintance with most of the Ambridge residents. I have been dipping in and out for the last decade or so but I started listening in a committed fashion about 3 years ago when I moved to a rural community and realised my life was being played out in radio drama form every lunch-time.
