Well I listened to this podcast whilst driving to London. It may be me but some prat has decided that to drive in London the limit on A roads is 20 mph and not 30 mph, you must drive not turn left even though it leads to your destination so you have to go a good mile out of your way burning petrol and causing additional pollution for absolutely no good reason and traffic flows are impeded by traffic lights not remaining green and three lanes of car traffic being squeezed into a single lane to allow for firstly a bus lane and then for a cycle lane which are both completely empty hence delaying all car traffic quite unreasonably and unnecessarily – and for what ends when the additional pollution will be murdering the residents? I did not WANT to drive in London – I was moving items from an old office to a new office for a charity with which I am associated – but it was a necessity. I am sorry but the Mayor needs his head examined.
So I did actually miss what Philippa and Quentin had to say this week as I was so wound up by the idiocies of what I was encountering in London.
There were idiocies in Ambridge as well as the magic letters to Alice were read. I apologise to all alcoholics but does this really help you get better in under four weeks? I would be surprised if it was beneficial. In the meantime where is the farming? What is happening at Brookfield? Grange Farm? Bridge Farm? Tom and Natasha? Carole Toboggan? Ruari? The shop? The Bull? Gay Grables? Berrow piggeries? Cat and Fiddle (for those who remember it)? The cricket team? Just a very sorry build up to the Flower and Produce and a strange afternoon at the tearoom which frankly probably went bust in the pandemic. Is it me or has someone lost the plot?
