What a strange month!
Most of May 2020 comprised the three weeks of The Archers Revisited episodes, broadcast to give the production team time to record new “Talking Heads” style episodes, with actors recording monologues from makeshift studios in their homes as a result of the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions preventing the usual recording process from taking place.
None of the characters featured in the Revisited episodes is included in May’s Character Count. Only those who appeared in the final week of May ﹣ the first week of the new episodes ﹣ are listed in the chart. So it’s very short. We are told that only four episodes per week ﹣ Monday to Thursday ﹣ will be broadcast until things return to normal.
And that’s it. And I think we can expect the Right You Ares and Hello You Twos to be as rare as hens’ teeth while characters are just pondering to themselves.
