Good news – the extra ten minutes of the week outside Ambridge makes a return after the end credits as our hosts bring us up to date about their life events of the last week, largely dominated by Robert having a problem with a trumpet voluntary plus an involuntary tinkle whilst at a concert. And Lucy revealed that Mrs Mark Rylance (Claire van Kampen) is related to our Fallon (Joanna van Kampen, that surname is a bit of a giveaway of course).
No map corner this week but Yokel Bear has started the Joe Grundy Country Customs corner which this week covers the extraordinary Halloween event at Ottery St Mary where they carry around flaming tar barrels which if crossed with the Gloucester cheese rollers would lead to a huge fondue observes Lucy! Lucy meanwhile has commenced her own corner with her favourite Daily Mirror headline of the week.
Back at the ranch the inability of the new editor to actually hire distinctively voiced age appropriate actors reared into view as the interchangeability of Ben and Ruairidh attracted much comment. Luckily the much younger Geraldine sounds completely different.
TWOC’ing was discussed and a well known search engine was consulted frequently throughout the forecast as no-one’s brains were working right first time this week. (No obvious editing there – Roifield – if twas him – left it all in!).
Kosmo
This week’s Dumteedum was sent in by Vicky Cole who has been fiddling with her organ.
On this week’s show, we have calls from Witherspoon, Genevieve, Susan, Julie, Claire and Catherine.
