Roifield, Lucy and the caller in-erers were spot on: Caroline and Oliver aren’t coming back (maybe for as long as six months- maybe forever) and the Grundys aren’t going to be homeless. Rather poetically, they’re back in their old home. Take that Witch Hazel!
As Lucy said, the Grundys fighting homelessness once again was a manipulative and barely credible storyline. So it was no surprise that Thursday’s episode ended on a cloying and sentimental note. Even so, it was still not enough of an antidote to the misery of Rob and Helen for me although I remain one of the few who can tolerate their domestic torment.
Is it too much to hope that Ruth follows Caroline and Oliver’s lead and decide to extend her stay in New Zealand?
