Daily listener. Sometimes I listen live when I am at the gym at 2pm (7pm your time) or otherwise we listen to the download at dinner. Years ago, when I was an Archers neophyte, husband and I listened to the Omnibus. That would be simply impossible now.

I’m am daily listener too, I listen through the BBC iplayer app on my phone. I used to listen while going to sleep but since the Rob and Helen storyline got so distressing I have had to try and listen earlier in the evening so it doesn’t disturb my sleep. I was getting nightmares.

However I also love the omnibus tweetalong so occasionally dip in to that if I’m not doing anything else.

Most of the time I listen daily – live when I can or I listen later online. Sometimes I listen to the 2pm repeat, too! I’m relaxed about the omnibus because I go to church around 10.15am.

Daily podcasts but tend to listen in bulk 3 or 4 in one go whilst walking.

Is the omnibus still slightly edited and compressed compared to the 5 daily episodes?

I stopped “listening again”‘or being signed up for the podcast when I was so incredibly angry over the ridiculous stabbing storyline and I didn’t want to be counted as an extra listener in the justification of the way the show was going……….

I used to download the podcasts and listen in bulk now and again. Since the Rob&Helen storyline kicked off properly I have been obsessively listening every evening. And then going on forums to see what others are saying. It has become unhealthy so I am also trying to wean myself off it now. It’s such a relief that the horrible tension has gone. I guess technically he can still hurt her but it’s not that sickening tension that used to be there. Hopefully Justin will withdraw the job offer and he will just give up on Jack and bugger off for good.

I am an omnibus listener. Sometimes I listen live, but occasionally I can’t so I have the podcast download and I listen with a quick follow up of DTD. This means I am often too late to call in these days……but I am currently laid up with spinal disc hernia so maybe I will listen more frequently but never live as the evening episode is at 8pm my time and that is when M.Bertho arrives home from work……

I am not always home by 7pm, or if I am back from work I’ll be walking around Fairhaven lake. The i-player app is to memory hogging to use on my mobile whilst walking, so I podcast the omnibus.

I generally listen on the way to work on Monday morning, which makes the week start in a bearable fashion. I wouldn’t say I look forward to Mondays, but….

If I catch the Archers on the radio I don’t normally turn it off, but I have had to during the trial, I wouldn’t have been able to do that at all. But I have been known to listen to the same episode three times. I now call it doing a LUCY!

Is the omnibus shortened? I don’t know how I missed that fact.

I am telling you this because you are my friends (kind of) but I am seriously addicted to The Archers and DumTeeDum. I can listen to The Archers live in Australia on an app that gives me live UK radio stations. I usually do this. The problem is that it is at 4:00am. I am looking forward to daylight savings here and the removal of summer time UK which will make a 2 hour difference so I will be able to listen at 6:00am.

I usually listen at least one more time on the itunes podcast and, of course, that is how I listen to DumTeeDum.

When I hear the Barwick Green music, my shoulders drop, and i just relax, yes, even with the horrible story line of the recent past. It is literally a mental escape for me. I guess it is better than smoking or gambling.

I’m almost always an Everyday-Omnibus. This evening I went out, but I’ll be listening on catchup before I go to sleep. Most days, I cook and plan everything to be ready after 7.15, so I have the kitchen to myself and my radio. For the 21 years that I ran two holiday cottages, I did all the ironing (yes, sometimes 8 lots of Egyptian cotton bed linen!) while listening again to the Sunday morning omnibus. Now, I garden with my trusty solar-powered radio beside me. The daughters are long gone, and I can shout and berate the characters to my heart’s content with only deaf husband and two loopy cats to hear!

Daily, usually download the podcast when I get in from work, but sometimes listen live via the internet. I find it easier to take 13 minutes in my day to listen, rather than wait for the omnibus. And years ago I figured out /concluded that due to the time of the omnibus, small things were cut from the omnibus. And when it comes to TA, the devil is in the small things. ….
I’m with you Ms Bubbles …a complete addict. I realised this, when last year, I was visiting England, (I now live in America); and acting as a tour guide for two American women. I overheard them chatting to an English couple staying in the same B&B
“She’s probably listening to that “Archer” thing she listens to ” said one of the women
“Oh lord! The Archers ….has anything actually happened on it?” asked the Englishman
“Practically nothing, as far as we can tell” said the other American woman.
I thought “practically nothing! They’re deluded!!! Why ……” (and I proceeded to go over in my mind all the terribly interesting details in TA that I had heard that week.
So ,yes, we’re addicted to the “practically nothing” radio show.

I listen every night live whilst having tea, however, if I’m out I listen as soon as possible online.

Podcast when it comes up in the stream, so usually a few days after broadcast, but even longer when there is a war-and-peace length DumTeeDum to listen to first.
