I believe, in America, Jazzer would be considered an “at will” employee (assuming there is no written contract or union of pig farmers); and so he could be let go without cause. If Jazzer’s case ever went to trial, civil or criminal, I think a jury would be quite sympathetic to Tom.
And yes, folks, being married to a Brit does expose me to the mysterious ways that you express your feelings of discontent!
