Ms BubblesParticipantWelcome back!
Just a few comments.
I have to agree that Lillian and Justin are nauseating. I think that is because it is a little unreal and will not last.
The event in the stables you referred to: I thought that was out on the paddocks somewhere. I thought what happened was that Lillian fell and Matt came to her aid in some way that was maybe a little more intimate than Lillian was prepared for (maybe picking her up or something). She may have even been unconscious for a moment or two.
Now I am not sure anyone who says “It’s a bloody cricket team, not the rise and fall of the Roman Empire” really has the right attitude to be an Archers fan, despite your 7 years of listening.
Tom will always be a prick.

Purple PumpkinParticipantFunnily enough, I’ve also been away, and have yet to learn how Caroline died, but may I just add to the rant:
How did Jill get so aerated about a cafe whose existence she’d only known about for a week, to such an extent that she ended up being arrested? Is this another sign (along with the Toby hoo-ha) that she is actually declining mentally very fast, or is it the scriptwriters who have completely lost the plot?

Connor KinsellaParticipantJill Archer – I too am having suspicions. Her storyline prominence and growing eccentricities (that’s putting it mildly – downright bloody childishness in fact) are surely the portents of doom. However, I was rather hoping the Assault with a Deadly Cake incident would lead to Jill getting sent down. She would then rise from meek old girl in the vulnerable womens’ unit to murderous top bitch and queen of a posse of super hard skinhead lesbians. But I’m guessing we’ll see a brief cognitive decline followed by death and the inevitable national mourning.
* Perhaps I’ve been watching too much Orange is the New Black.

PinkelliefontParticipantYokel Bear was right, excellent rant, I binged too (3 weeks though) but I enjoyed it, I think Tobeee unleased the inner Jill I hope she turns on Josh and Pip.

Marie Eaton SmithParticipantI always listen to the Sunday omnibus, and only very occasionally catch the daily episode. But, I feel some little ‘bits’ are edited out for the omnibus edition and, I find this very annoying.
Jill has always had a social conscience, and her friendship with Kirsty has made this more obvious – I think so anyway!
Tom will forever be a prick – but, is always trying to make himself into John – and failing.
Matt met and annoyed Lillian when she was out riding; she raced off, and had a fall, knocking herself out for a few seconds. Matt was very worried and apologetic, (I think) Lillian thought they were still together for a nanosecond before reality returned.
Will has always been a total bell-end (I would use stronger words, but won’t!), and always will be, what Nic sees in him is beyond me, but at least she does make him see reason on most occasions. I could never understand why Caroline had a soft spot for him, but she was his godmother, so….
Ah, the cricket team (Will again)….. that was fun when Rob, Adam, and Ian and the rest of the guys nearly had fisticuffs.

Marie Eaton SmithParticipantEnjoyed this week’s omnibus.
I do feel that Alastair needs to come clean; to me he is acting quite cowardly. Matt’s faults and convictions are in the public domain; Alastair needs to come clean/fess up his foibles to Anisha, especially the horse doping.
Matt is playing him. -
