Pat Archer: Enough is Enough

I too have shouted at the radio/Pat, but then I remember what a Hellish couple of years the woman has had.
Tony falling out with Peggy, Helen suddenly announcing she was with Rob and threatening to cut her off from Henry if she didn’t accept the relationship, Tom’s non-wedding and vanishing to Canada – and then her husband nearly dying and being in hospital for months. She must be emotionally worn out. Helen waged a relentless campaign to show how perfect Rob was over 18 months before Rob finally turned on his “helpful” act to her too, – though just at the moment when he started to show his true colours when alone with Helen. It took her so long to be convinced he was ok so she could finally heave a sigh of relief that her family was not actually in crisis for once, so it does kind of make a sort of backwards sense that she is not actually looking out for signs of trouble right now.
Quite why nuTom is never heard from having been brought back a year ago now is another story. But then he never was the sharpest tool in the barn.
