Perhaps an explanation for Josh's behaviour

I know a lot of people have been asking why Josh is so persistent, forceful and generally annoying with his entrepreneurial egg-tivities.
I think we may have been given a clue this week when someone mentioned to him that David was doing a good job with something on the farm and he sacrcstically muttered “of course he is, when does he not?”

Thus I think maybe he feels insecure about his father’s competence and general greatness and how everyone bangs on about how great Pip is on the farm – perhaps he feels he can’t compete and feels pushed out – hence going all out to make something – anything – of a slightly bonkers egg scheme – just to prove himself?
