I hope your are correct in your prediction. I, for one, am looking forward to the downfall of the Pip & Toby romance. I have a feeling it will be deliciously ugly and I hope it involves much groveling by Toby for Pip to take him back- which she refuses to do and then Josh and Jill get to gloat and say things like, “I told you so!”– rather than and on-again off-again affair where we find ourselves having to listen to them making up on multiple occasions.

Hard luck. Toby is the new Nelson / Kenton and will become the village joker whilst Rex will because a good farmer. I can but hope that Toby finds a good woman and that Pip finds a good man and Josh inherits Brookfield.
