Rob made my skin crawl in this episode but it gave me hope too because he was a bit too obvious, and it’s clear that various members of the village don’t want to hang out with him. Harrison was well guided by Fallon who clearly could hardly be in Rob’s company at all. If he carries on like this, Rob’s halo will have well and truly slipped off by the time that the trial comes around. Hooray!

I don’t understand why Adam had to offer that information to him. Surely he must know that Rob is a calculating slimeball, even though he doesn’t know everything we know. He could have just given a stern “no thank you” to the offer of a drink. Even though it’s always unpleasant to hear Rob’s voice it was quite satisfactory to hear him being turned down by all cricketers and given the cold sholder by Fallon. Finally a little tiny bump in his road to super-villain victory.

Exactly. Adam’s cousin is on trial for attempting to kill Rob; his husband is going to testify at the trial…why would Adam say more than two words to Rob?

‘I’m sorry, I haven’t been able to get out to the tea room, even though I’ve seen those rickety, oh I mean, vintage sticks of furniture looking better than I expected.’ Smarm, smarm. ‘But I can go for a drink at The Bull, if only someone would care to keep me company.’ Nobody cares for your company. Ever! And, let’s hope Rob feels increasingly threatened over the next week or so. You are so right, Julie Harvey, it’s being threatened that will take Rob down. Fear drives coercive and controlling people out of their comfort zone into an area where they take risks and expose how dangerous they really are. Who’ll be the one who drives Rob to reveal himself as Voldemort? Any ideas? My money’s on Adam and Ian together who might have an unholy fight after each being needled again by Rob, then realise who set the blue touch paper, and go looking for blood. Rob, who hates ‘your sort’ won’t be able to contain himself. I do hope there are witnesses…!

It will be Emma, Sarahsarie ! She has the makings of a sneaky gossip just like her mother, but will use her powers for good not evil. Soon the whole village will know what a two faced, hypocritical, slimy, mean, toady, creepy psychopath he is. What a Happy Day that will be. We will hang out the bunting, when Harrison finds it……in Robs shed along with Eds cattle and Stefans body.

You could be right, Alison. Especially after hearing yesterday’s episode where Rob blatantly about-faced his own instructions about Henry not getting mucky and no sweets to ingratiate himself with Henry and ensure that Henry feels he only gets treats when he’s with his ‘Daddy’ and will give the social worker / children’s court ‘the right answers’. Emma’s not going to stand for that! However, I can’t understand why Rob was happy to coach Henry about his visit to the social worker, while Emma was still present. Do you think he’s now so confident of his own abilities to manipulate that he no longer attempts to keep things secret? Or does he have a wider plan for using Emma?
