DTD: 355 – Hunting for action in Ambridge, its slim pickings this week

Rosie Porty and Quentin Rayner are back and so was Willum as Eddie and Will morphed back into Del Boy and “Dave” Trotter replaying times past as the metal detector also re-appeared for a treasure hunt on Brookfield, which led to Eddie turning into a Brookfield security guard.    Quentin expresses the view that Philip and Gavin had set up the non-attendance at the GA meeting but I do not buy this as Philip could not see a way out of the village without convincing Kirsty (who is very easily duped which I don’t buy) that Gavin is safe to […]

EP: 354 – Sisters doing it for themselves and other Ambridge goings on

Pip gets a good kicking from the team this evening.  And she deserves it.  Since the voice changed it has been impossible to believe in “nu-Pip” and her stories, particularly involving re-wilding simply beggar belief.  Roifield supports this in identifying Pip as lacking audio identity as compared with the previous incumbent.     For the record the Trustees were appointed when Nigel was murdered by David.  However the chair of Trustees was talking absolute bollocks in the way he spoke to Lizzie which was entirely out of order.  If the Trustees cared about the estate and looking after the inheritance then […]

Character Count – October 2020

BACK TO THE ARCHERS! So many of the lockdown episodes have focused on Alice and Chris, Philip and Gavin, Lynda and Robert, that it was nice to get back to the Archer family in the second half of the month — even if that meant hearing Ruth and Pip moaning and Ben swooning! DTD: 352 – Elizabeth and Vince Casey a match made in Borsetshire!

This week we heard the MinceMate man become aware of the newly re-awakened Lizzie who is allegedly being busy on the dating scene.  Brummie MinceMate has a couple of daughters with a significant age difference, implying to me that he has been through two wives already.  Roifield feels that MinceMate is the new Woolley figure – lots of money, comes from somewhere near Stirchley and a proper Brummie accent.    Strewth Ruth.  Changing tack from no-one can dig our land ever to welcoming a horde of hoard seekers within a few days seems improbable.  She is probably Alice’s White Queen […]
