I didn’t grow up in the UK so I didn’t know anything about The Archers until I moved in with my partner about 4 years ago. I didn’t really get the appeal of a radio soap based on farming but then I started to read around the history of the show and became intrigued. My partner bought me a 'Who's who in Ambridge' so I could read everyone’s back stories and soon I was hooked! I was thrilled when I discovered the wonderful Dum Tee Dum podcast and I look forward to lots of informed debate about silege and calfing!
