Well I called it right about Nic confessing to hitting Matt. And now I think back, although she hid the guilt very well indeed, there were a number of things she did in those last weeks which were a bit out of character. She took things to heart much more than you might expect, like making mistakes at work. And she was very concerned with getting things right (balancing her guilty conscience?) And that outburst at Emma seemed to come out of nowhere but makes more sense if you imagine Nic was stressed and on a short fuse, and feeling bad about herself as a backdrop to the argument. Any thoughts Witherspoon?
